Minister Ahmed Hussen announced that the Governmen Minister Ahmed Hussen announced that the Government of 🇨🇦 is moving forward in investing $25 million over 5 years to provide assistance to Black community organizations.
Grassroots organizations will be able to apply for grants of up to $100,000 in late spring to build the necessary capacity and infrastructure they need to better serve Black Canadian communities.

This announcement is a brilliant way to recognize the UN International Decade for People of African Descent now and for years to come.” – Adam Vaughan, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Families, Children and Social Development

Today, at an important meeting of Black community Today, at an important meeting of Black community leaders, with Minister Ahmed Hussen, a Zoom Bombing occurred. There were reprehensible racial slurs and epithets of the most vile and racist nature.
.
The meeting was to discuss the roll out of funding for Black communities announced by the federal government on May 16, 2020, for Black / People of African Descent by Minister Hussen committed by Prime Minister Trudeau in the 2018 budget recognition of the UN International Decade for People of African Descent.
.
There was no choice but to postpone the session. We will post an update soon.
.
However, the Black community is never intimidated; we have fought long and hard to secure our place in the Canadian and global polity and will do so relentlessly and unceasingly. Our struggle will never stop. That is our response to those who may oppose our march toward Justice and equality of opportunity.
Greetings, The UNDPAD Push Coalition in partnersh Greetings,

The UNDPAD Push Coalition in partnership with Dr. Vibe is holding a national call on the human rights implications of the emergency measures put in place to address the Covid-19 pandemic in Canada. The Zoom video call will take place on Friday May 1, at 6pm Eastern time.

Our special guests will be Marie-Claude Landry, Chief Commissioner of the Canadian Human Rights Commission and Christine Hanson, Director & CEO, Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission who will be in conversation with Dr. Vibe and members of our African, Caribbean and Black (ACB) communities across the country.

Over these past weeks, there have been questions raised after municipalities, provinces and the federal government put these emergency measures in place to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic.
